Planets and comets and some constellations of ecliptic (for tablets)
The software shows the planets of the solar system in their actual position (mercury neptune) at the beginning of the program the display is the current date. For comets you can see where is Halley (N°232) or 67P Churyumov-Gerasimenko (N° 291) which is now near the orbit of Mars ; Today (5/8/2015) to can find it , in the night ,based on the screen, you see the moon , the comet is in direction of your left hand in the ecliptic.
Pressing "+" advances the time and moves the planets; more pressing accelerate the movement "long" pressing increase the increment of the movement, pressing "Stop" stops the movement; pressing "-" set back the time
A short press "Today / Day" returns to date; Long press "Today / Day" can choose a date in the format "MM * dd * yy * hh" an example "04 * 15 * 15 * 12" gives 15 April 2015 at 12 noon (Greenwich Mean Time)
Pressing the image of the comet can choose among hundreds of comets in a drop down table; the name and the inclination of the orbit of the comet are indicated in the window "Scale"; pressing on the image of the comet clears the comet. The inclination of the plane in which evolves the comet is indicated because some have an important angle to the mean plane in which the planets evolve; for example, the comet No. 2 "Hale Bopp" which is roughly perpendicular to the plane of the solar system
Initially, the scale is that of the Mars planet; it is possible to set the scale to Saturn by pressing the key or make Neptune's scale; the trajectories remain the real scale
Long press "Stop" to display distances from the earth or sun astronomical expressed as a unit or Km
The line through the sun is the origin of the heliocentric repere a fixed inclined line gives the position of the perihelion of the Earth (January 4) and a line gives the earth-moon **** to easily spot the planets in relation to the position of the moon (in the ecliptic plane)
To see the constellations of ecliptic touch again button scale , retouch for back
