In this post, I am going to show you how to install eMidCare on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...
Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install eMidCare using BlueStacks
- Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
- Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
- Once installed, click "eMidCare" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

1. About e-MIDCARE®:
The e-MIDCARE mobile application aims to support patients diagnosed with psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis. Its purpose is to support these patients and their professionals in monitoring their disease and treatment.
e-MIDCARE has been developed by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals responsible for caring for patients with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, including pharmacists, rheumatologists and dermatologists from Hospital Gregorio Marañón.
2. Who is it for:
This application is intended for patients diagnosed with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis, followed up at the Gregorio Marañón General University Hospital.
3. Purpose:
The objective of e-MIDCARE is to promote home monitoring and communication with patients diagnosed with psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. In addition to having useful information, patients will be able to record different aspects of their disease and pharmacotherapy, such as their treatment and medication intake, side effects, quality of life, as well as consult their hospital pharmacists.
4. Features:
This platform is made up of a module for patients, which can be accessed through a mobile application, and a module for healthcare professionals, which will allow them to monitor the data recorded by patients.
The sections of the application are the following:
• Reminders: availability of different types of notifications, such as events noted in the Agenda section, taking medication or completing questionnaires.
• My medication: record of the patient's medication plan
• Questionnaires: completion of different types of questionnaires (quality of life, adherence and satisfaction)
• Side effects: recording of the main side effects of the treatment and obtaining recommendations based on their type and severity.
• Useful information: information about the disease and treatment, questions about the dispensing of medicines, links to web pages of interest, etc.
• Agenda: different events or appointments scheduled by users as an agenda/calendar
• Contact your pharmacist: sending and receiving messages between application users and hospital pharmacists
• My profile: it is created at the time of registration in the application. The user can request that it be modified at any time
In the event of detecting any risk or incident derived from the use of this application, the user may communicate it by means of a message through the application module (Contact your pharmacist) or by means of a telephone call to the usual telephone numbers of the Pharmacy Service (915867714 / 914269271).
5. Contents:
e-MIDCARE provides scientific and technical information for educational support for the user. This information is available in the “Useful Information” and “Side Effects” sections. Both sections may be modified or expanded according to the publication of new scientific evidence.
The educational information it contains has been selected by the authors of the project. The authors of the application declare that they have no conflict of interest with the information published.
The information, recommendations and services offered by e-MIDCARE do not replace the usual recommendations and follow-up that the patient performs for his illness.
