This free app without advertisements quickly calculates how much water you are using from your taps and other water outlets.

* Measure your water flow in either litres per minute (l/min) or gallons per minute (gpm).

* Calculate the cost of water at each outlet on a per minute and per hour basis.

* Choose either Metric units (litre, cubic meter) or US Customary units (gallons, cubic feet).

HOW IT WORKS: Place a container to collect water under your tap or water outlet and use the app's built-in stopwatch to measure the time in seconds that it takes to fill. Enter the fill time and the app will calculate your water flow rate based on your container capacity and the time it took to fill. It's that simple!

You can use any water container such as a bucket, bottle or can. If you do not know your container capacity, measure its inside dimensions and the app will calculate its capacity. For larger flows of water use a larger container. For very small flows and water leaks use a micro container such as a plastic bottle cap or a small cup.

Farmers use the app to measure how much water is being applied by their irrigation devices or to measure the water output of springs, wells and water pumps. The app will also measure flow rates on agricultural sprayer nozzles and many other applications.

The app will also calculate the capacity (volume) of any rectangular or round water storage based on its inside dimensions, useful for finding the capacity of containers, tanks, reservoirs and swimming pools.

Use your water flow and cost information to save water at home during a drought, reduce your water bill or adjust irrigation and spraying equipment on the farm. Measure the water flow of your existing home water outlets and find out how much they are costing you.

A very handy tool for homeowners, plumbers, water agencies, farmers and anyone using or providing water.

This free app does not show pesky advertisements, does not collect your data or location and does not require a connection once downloaded so you can use it anywhere in the world.

THE APP STORY: I developed this app as a tool to measure water flow in homes to help families save water during the 2015 severe drought in California. Within a few days it was featured on the TV news as a tool for water conservation. It has since been downloaded across 179 countries and is helping thousands of people understand and manage their water consumption around the world.
