Sunt disponibile filtre de căutare variate, ce pot fi combinate, selecția putand fi realizata dupa nume, profilul muzeului (arheologie si istorie, arta, arta religioasa, etnografie, memorial, stiintele naturii, stiinta si tehnica), localitate, judet, regiune istorica (Banat, Bucovina, Crisana, Dobrogea, Maramures si Satmar, Moldova, Muntenia, Oltenia, Transilvania) sau distanta fata de pozitia curentă a utilizatorului. Obiectivele pot fi afisate si pe harta sau într-un modul de realitate augmentata. Baza de date fiind stocata local, conexiunea la Internet este necesara doar pentru vizualizarea fotografiilor, a hartilor si pentru utilizarea facilitatilor legate de navigatie.

Aplicatia a fost realizata de catre Asociatia "Prietenii Muzeului National de Istorie a Romaniei", in parteneriat cu Institutul National al Patrimoniului (Baza națională de date a muzeelor și colecțiilor din România - http://ghidulmuzeelor.cimec.ro) si Comitetul National Roman ICOM (Consiliul International al Muzeelor), printr-un proiect finantat de Administratia Fondului Cultural National in cadrul programului Proiecte Culturale 2013.

DISCOVER ROMANIA'S MUSEUMS!

The "Museums and Collections of Romania" bilingual (Romanian and English) application provides information (address, opening hours, telephone, web site, description) about all of Romania's 1014 museums, and more than 5200 photographs. Various search filters are available, allowing the selection by name, category (archaeology and history, art, religious art, ethnography, memorial, natural sciences, science and technology), locality, county, historical region (Banat, Bucovina, Crisana, Dobrogea, Maramures si Satmar, Moldova, Muntenia, Oltenia, Transilvania) or distance from the user's current position. The museums can also be displayed on the map or in an augmented reality module. As the database is stored locally, an Internet connection in only necessary for accessing photographs, maps and navigation related features.
The application was developed by the Association of Friends of the Romanian National History Museum in collaboration with the National Heritage Institute (National Database of Museums and Collections in Romania - http://ghidulmuzeelor.cimec.ro) and the ICOM (International Council of Museums) Romanian National Committee, through a project financed by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund - Cultural Projects 2013 programme.
