In this post, I am going to show you how to install Medical-QR on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Medical-QR using BlueStacks

Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
Once installed, click "Medical-QR" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

≪Overview≫

This app is used in the outpatient department of gastroenterology at Tohoku University Hospital.

During outpatient treatment for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis

1. 1. Symptomatology can be transferred to the chart via the QR code.
2. You can import test data, etc. from an outpatient clinic terminal to your smartphone and view it via a QR code.

Unlike the old app IBD-QR, the activity evaluation index for inflammatory bowel disease is calculated on the medical terminal side, so there are few input items.
In addition to the activity evaluation index, some blood test results can be captured on your smartphone and displayed in chronological order, making it easier to check the disease condition.

≪How to use≫

It consists of 3 pages, left, middle, and right, and you can move it by swiping left or right or using the move button at the top.

1. 1. Left page (disease selection screen)
Choose your illness from Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis.
In addition, notifications from the outpatient department of gastroenterology will be displayed. Please use the information such as closed days and clinical trial information.
Notifications will be reloaded when pulled down.

2. Middle page (symptomatology input screen)
Please enter your own symptoms. Please display the QR code with the QR button and present it at the time of examination. QR can be enlarged / reduced by pinch operation.

3. 3. Right page (My data)
You need to register the password first. After that, you can log in with a password or biometric authentication (fingerprint authentication, face authentication, etc.).
Please read the QR code from the medical examination terminal with the camera button at the time of examination.
The captured data is displayed as a time series table, with highs in red and lows in blue.
You can delete the data by long-pressing the table part.
You can see the time series graph by clicking the header of the inspection item.
The graph can be scaled by pinching up / down and left / right, and scrolling is also possible.
A line is shown at the boundary of the normal values.
