The GPS Maps, navigation & Live Traffic app comes with two built-in digital compasses. The first being a digitized version of the classic
compass, and the second being a qibla compass. The qibla compass clearly indicates the direction of the Kaaba allowing you to find the correct
position to face quickly and easily. The classic compass can help you to navigate using standard North/East/South/West (and everything in
between) directions.
If you find yourself in a new town or country and want to find local amenities and points of interest, use the Nearby Places of interest feature to
quickly get a view of nearby places of interest on the map. Pick a spot to go to and the GPS maps will update with the recommended route for
you to follow.
Using the Satellite feature you can get detailed satellite imagery of your current location and surroundings providing you with new perspectives
on your surroundings. Switch easily from this satellite view of the Earth to GPS maps for route planning and navigation.
As a travel companion app, the GPS app also provides a helpful currency calculator. Get access to live currency values and live exchange rates
wherever you find yourself in the world, and quickly get currency conversions between a wide range of global currencies. Exchange rates are
regularly updated to ensure your have an accurate view on current currency values. The currency calculator will ensure you always know how
much you’re spending wherever you are in the world.
While you navigate to your next destination using our live GPS directions you’ll also be able to tell how fast you’re going with the Speedometer.
Our speedometer feature records your maximum speed so you can look back on your journey and compare it to similar journey in future the
use the same or similar route. Use the speedometer to work out the speed of your car, or any other vehicle of transport you might be using –
like train or boat. The speedometer works in unison with the compass, GPS and odometer features of the app to give you a highly accurate view
of your current travel speed.
