WHAT IS IT? The iRefer Vic app is a searchable directory of programs and services for Victorian families caught up in the turmoil of separation. The app provides information and referral pathways through the Australian Family Law system to find assistance that helps parents agree on what is best for their children rather than fighting in the courtroom and living with ongoing conflict.

HOW DOES IT HELP? iRefer Vic enables you to find those programs and services that can make a difference. Easily identified categories group service providers together. Alternatively, you can search by typing applicable words in the search field, e.g. ‘dispute’, ‘Mildura’, or ‘education’. Every effort has been made to provide information that is timely and accurate. Users are encouraged to synchonise frequently to get the latest information on items such as ‘eligibility’, ‘fees’, ‘waiting times’, and ‘referral process’. You can locate the agency on a map, call, email or access the website for further information.

Navigating the family law system doesn’t have to be quite so hard for Victorians who use iRefer Vic.

WHO IS IT FOR? Whether you are a newly separated parent, a self-represented litigant, a grandparent, a friend, iRefer Vic is for you.

Whether you are a family lawyer, a family dispute resolution practitioner, a court officer, a Judge or any practitioner working in or around the family law system, iRefer Vic is for you.

iRefer VIC aims to support parents to find the right plans for moving forward that protect the best interests of the child, and make parenting plans that consider the child’s wellbeing. However, family law issues can be complex, and anyone who needs assistance should always seek appropriate legal help too.

WHERE DO I PRESS? iRefer VIC is simple to download, simple to use, and simple to synchronise. It can be used on iPhones, iPads, Android Smartphones and tablets. For readability, the app is locked in portrait mode.
