In his birthplace, Cianjur, the actual name of this art is mamaos. Named song Sunda Cianjuran since 1930 and was confirmed in 1962 when the Council held Sunda Song sa-Pasundan in Bandung. Art mamaos a vocal art Sundanese musical instrument DAMAS ovaries, kacapi rincik, distilled, or fiddle.

Mamaos material derived from a variety of sound art Sunda, such as rhyme, outs (Mamaca), gamelan and Javanese macapat, namely Canto.
