Lalitha Sahasranama, is sacred text comprising of 1000 names of Sri Lalithadevi, the divine mother, This sacred hymns were written in Brahmanda Purana as Hayagreeva Agastya Samvaada ( discussion between Hayagreeva and Agashtya) .Hayagreeva, lord of Knowledge, is an incarnation of lord Vishnu, with head of horse.
