Searching for products using mobile applications on smartphones, reading news on popular websites, watching videos and looking at maps to find the right address is an integral part of today's life. But apps and websites aren't always user-friendly, making it hard to access the right information. To make the work of your favorite applications and websites better and more convenient, this sociological study of the mobile Internet audience is being conducted.
Participation in the study is an opportunity to directly influence the developers of applications and websites, advertisers, manufacturers of various goods. We study the audience of mobile Internet users in Kazakhstan - interests, profile and consumer preferences. This data helps the largest companies across the country to better understand their consumers, develop their Internet services and make them more convenient for users.
All participants are randomly selected and receive an individual invitation containing detailed information about the study. It is not possible to take part in the project at will.
Each participant installs the K_Meter application on their personal mobile devices (smartphone/tablet) and enters an individual registration code. Further, the application works in the background and does not require active actions, it is enough to check the correct operation of the application once a day (or once every few days) in the “Statistics” section. If there are problems with the application, you will see an error message when you open the application in the main window. If necessary, each participant can contact the technical support service using the contacts indicated in the individual invitation or inside the application.
We guarantee the protection of personal data of study participants. All information that we collect is completely confidential and is included in the final statistics only in an anonymized and generalized form.
Using the accessibility service (AccessibilityService API):
We use the accessibility service to collect data about visited web resources (domains) on the Internet and search queries. All data during transmission is encrypted and used in an anonymous and strictly anonymized form and is not transferred to third parties. The application never uses the accessibility service to perform any active actions on behalf of the user. Connecting this service allows us to improve the quality of our studies of the popularity of resources on the Internet.
More detailed information is contained in the K_Meter application itself in the FAQ section.
