In this post, I am going to show you how to install My Phone and Me on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install My Phone and Me using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "My Phone and Me" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

My Phone and Me can help you to monitor your phone usage pattern and your interaction with notifications. The app presents an avatar which tells your addiction level at the current moment. Also, it shows the amount of time the phone has been used, the app which is used the most and the app which triggers most notifications. Moreover, the app offers you to visualise your phone activities such as hourly phone usage, hourly usage of an individual app, and your interaction with notifications.





Research Contribution

This app is part of a research project at the NSDS Lab (University of Birmingham & University College London). We collect notification and context data to analyze the user interaction with notifications.

All the personal information will be anonymised, and securely transmitted and stored on the server. No additional information would be collected by the application. We assure that there will be no attempt to misuse the data or identify any user.
