"Logroño yesterday and today" is an application that brings the past to the present. Walking with our mobile, we will see how Logroño has been transformed in the last centuries, thanks to the extensive photographic archive of the Casa de la Imagen. A whole surprise continues just around the corner, both for those who visit our city for the first time and for lifelong residents of Logroño.
Using augmented reality, the process is as simple as consulting the map with the points of interest, standing on them and seeing the environment through the mobile camera. Thus, we will see a historical image of that same site in real time, which will also provide us with additional information about the author, technique, dates and related anecdotes.
Through twenty selected images, we will take a route through Logroño that will become a time tunnel, showing us how we used to be and how our environment has changed. A small entertaining and playful history lesson, in which we will enjoy the work of the best photographers who have portrayed the city, from the most important monuments to everyday life. For this, we have the historical archive of the Casa de la Imagen, undoubtedly the most extensive and complete in our community, with images of Logroño from 1864 to the present. The millions of originals in this collection allow us to create a complete tour of the city, through its monuments, inhabitants and transformations throughout history.
