We are introducing this app and several other similar apps as part of our long deep and strong commitment to use technology to support and help democracy, freedom of expression, and human rights activists and opposition/supporters against oppressive military/royal dictatorships, and highly corrupt regimes.

This app is completely free (no any kind of in-app billing), no ads, and does not collect any personal/private information or data, and/or transmit any data or info what so ever. Also, we do not have any third party to do that job for us.

This is an easy to use app to provide Tor capabilities to users which will enable users to access blocked websites in his/her location by their local oppressive regimes. This app works with our other free app AndroidBrowser, together with our other front-end free apps (e.g. UltraAlJazeera, UltraSocialNetworks, UltraNews, and UltraNGOs). The user will need to install at least our other app AndroidBrowser with this app.

The Tor network is complicated and spreads all over the world. As a result, sometimes, the Tor protocol will time out during building a Tor network for the user. In those cases, the user needs to restart the app or the device.

Some user have reported that Tor and the bridges option do not work in China. This version has an improved version of the bridges option, and we hope it will work. Also, Tor does not work on Samsung devices because there is a system app that uses the same port as Tor. The user can go to the settings menu, down to the debug section, and change the socks port to auto. Changing to the port number to 9051 does not work all the times. The user should use the same technique on any Android mobile device that is using the standard port for Tor.

Important Note:

After the user have installed the app, and before starting his/her first Tor connection, the user should click on the bridges option in one of the two menus. This will open a smaller windows, the user should choose the top option. The user should go back again to the same menu and verify that the bridges option is "on". This will give that copy of app a unique and custom digital signature that is different from all other digital signatures of apps using Tor which will make it very difficult to discover and block by the oppressive authorities. Check attached pictures to the listing for help. The standard digital signature for Tor is well known, and can be easily targeted and blocked. Also, this app will start automatically after the device completes booting by default. This feature can be disabled in the menu, if the user prefers so.
