Toolkit W (Watchguard) is a non-official calendar and organizer that will let allow you to play Game of War (Gow) more proactively. Its like having your own watchtower guard in your city that will remind you to need to log in before certain events occur such as troops returning from marches, or your shields are about to expire.
TW is a multitasking-enabled app that can run the same time as other apps. TW has been designed with transparent windows so you can easily enter data from GoW into TW
BETA WARNING: Requires 1gb of ram minimum. Be sure to close other apps too free more memory. If you restart your device or the app closes unexpectedly you will need to run TW again to set the alarms!
Currently TW lets you:
*Bookmark cities and rss; and view march times to all bookmarked targets.
*Gives you a reminder 1 minute before a march returns home from City attacks or an RSS gathering. Great if you don't want your collected food to eaten away before you can use it.
*Give you reminder when boost effects are about to expire. Peace shield expiratory will have a distinct reminder sound so you won't overlook it.
*Provide a detailed Activity Analysis. At any time whether your you army is attacking, gathering, or returning you will be able to see details like the total trip time, purpose of the march, average gathering speed.
*Reminders will work when phone goes into sleep or when app is still running. Option to disable reminders when you exit TW. This means no annoying sounds when you sleep. (Note: this does not affect GoW reminders.)
*Launch GoW from any application or game you might be playing. Or launch from the notification bar when your attention is required.
*Fully offline. You can keep track of your current gathering. attack progress, and your boost details without an Internet access. You can access this information almost immediately with no loading times.
* Setup guide, and user guide. Available in English; and can be translated to the language of your preference (requires a browser with internet access)
*Add a shield expiratory event to your calendar. Reminder will be sent to all your Android or iOS or Windows Phone devices that are synced to your Google account
Limitations:
*Currently this app only supports 1 account and 1 kingdom per device (In the future you can track multiple accounts whether or not may be not logged into those GoW accounts. Never again will you forget to shield an alt.)
*Marching through central forest or using winged boost items (march speedups) is currently not supported. Any wonder or super-wonder bonuses may not be supported.
*RSS gathering must be done via the 'quick gather' screen. RSS gathering from bookmarks is not supported
Permissions required:
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW - required for multitasking (floating windows)
WAKE_LOCK - required to wake your phone temporarily to reschedule the next reminder.
VIBRATE - Vibrate your phone when you get a reminder
WRITE_CALENDAR - Able to write events to your calendar (no permission to read calendar)
This app currently does not have ads and does not require an internet connection. Ads may be added in the future.
