It provides services in Tigrinya and Geez.
The sub-Diocese of Canada serves the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church in Canada which is a hierarchical and apostolic church founded by the Apostle, St. Philip. The Eritrean orthodox Tewahdo Church Sub-Diocese of Canada has authority over the Churches in Canada by being responsible for such churches as well as Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo priests, monasteries and seminaries in Canada, setting up the geographical boundaries of such churches, can divide such churches or combine such churches, and exercises a measure of control over the activities of the churches including the services to be provided. This Sub-Diocese exhibits the ancient teachings, traditions, and deep spirituality of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church.
