Tides and Weather Information - SurfTideX

"SurfTideX" is an application that can display tide graphs and wave/weather information for marine sports such as surfing and fishing. Please use it to accompany marine sports.

It will be the latest app of the SurfTide series (as of December 2022).
Information is displayed in card format. This gives you instant access to the information you want.
The point card displays the time of high tide/low tide and forecast of weather/wind speed/wind direction.
By tapping a card, you can display more detailed information about each.

Up to 100 cards can be registered. You can also classify the cards with your favorite color.
The following five types of cards can be registered.

・Tide point card
・Weather card
・ Nowcast card
・News card
・WEB link card

The tide point card can display the tide graph, hourly weather information (wind and wave information) for 7 days, coastal wind and wave information, and tide calendar by switching tabs.

The weather chart card is obtained from the Japan Meteorological Agency site, and shows the current weather chart from 3:00 a.m. on the previous day every 3 hours, the forecast weather chart for 24 hours and 48 hours later, and the numerical forecast for 10 days. You can view the diagram.

The nowcast card can display cloud movements and thunder/tornado forecasts at your current location as animated images obtained from the Japan Meteorological Agency website.

News cards can collect and display news related to pre-registered keywords.
For example, it is convenient to register "surfing", "sea fishing", "typhoon information", etc.

You can register your favorite sites on the WEB link card.
It is convenient to register your favorites on the contracted wave information page.
I also introduce useful sites related to public surfing, so I think you can register there.

Two types of tide data are available.
One is the data of the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), which is updated every year, but this application automatically updates according to the data of the Japan Meteorological Agency. There is data for 239 sites (2022).
The other is the Japan Coastal Tidal Harmonic Constant Table Data (JCG) issued by the Hydrographic Department of the Japan Coast Guard (published in February 1992), which displays tide data with calculated values. Data of 343 points can be calculated.

In addition to the above two tide data points, 603 surf points can be specified as observation points for weather data.

"Weather charts", "Nowcast" cards, and "Coastal wind and wave information" on tide point cards use data from the Japan Meteorological Agency website. If the site structure of the Japan Meteorological Agency changes or if the information is not updated, the app will not be able to display the data correctly.
If you report these, we will try to respond as soon as possible.

Weather information other than the above is displayed using the online service of "WorldWeatherOnline".
Due to problems on the service side (maintenance, etc.), there are times a year when weather information cannot be obtained for several hours. It usually recovers in a few hours (1 day at most), so if you can't get it, wait for a while and try again.

The app supports dark theme. The screenshot of the app introduction will be the image specified for the dark theme.
The default setting is automatically set to dark/light according to the device settings, but you can also set only this application to dark mode from the application settings.
