Serbian Republic each year in traffic accidents, in addition to the loss of one of the most valuable and these are human lives, suffering and enormous costs in economic terms. Experts of the Economic Institute in Banja Luka, supported by the best international experts have calculated that the total socio-economic cost of road accidents in the Republic of Serbian around 170 million KM, which tells us that the Serbian Republic each year in traffic suffered a natural disaster of large proportions.
Consequently, public authorities in the Serbian Republic have moved decisively to strengthen the institutional capacity of traffic safety. Tips for road safety regular session, the Agency for Traffic Safety is working successfully, the National Assembly adopted the Strategy for Traffic Safety 2013-2022 Serbian Republic and the Republic of Serbian Government has adopted a program of traffic safety 2014 - 2018, which created the preconditions for improving traffic safety in Republic of Serbian.
Along these lines, every year is held the International Conference "Road safety in the local community", with the aim of constantly strengthening and animating capacity at national and local level and the creation of a group of experts who will have plenty of enthusiasm, courage and the will to fight this problem of society as a whole.
Therefore we invite all potential authors and professional community to actively participate in this year's conference and contribute primarily to raising awareness about the importance of traffic safety, but also the improvement of the situation in this area.
