In this post, I am going to show you how to install XPLR-IOT Utility on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install XPLR-IOT Utility using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "XPLR-IOT Utility" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

XPLR-IOT Utility accepts a redemption code from the Thingstream.io u-blox IoT service delivery platform. The code matches the XPLR-IOT-1 credentials created at thingstream.io to allow instant communication from the XPLR-IOT-1 platform to the cloud.

Wi-Fi credentials can also be entered and stored in the system for use when a cellular network is not desired.

The XPLR-IOT-1 explorer kit provides a complete platform for developing various proof-of-concept IoT applications. The kit includes everything needed for an out-of-the-box experience. Its embedded SIM with u-blox MQTT Anywhere and MQTT Now trial accounts enable connection to the Thingstream IoT service delivery platform. With only a few initial manual steps, the kit can publish data to the cloud and demonstrate a complete end-to-end solution.
