The application AssessObjects is intended to create models for the evaluation of a group of objects. Objects can be of various kinds. With one model are estimated group of similar objects. For example valuation model qualities of persons from an interview for a certain position. Another example, model for the evaluation of companies participating in the auction
A model consists of a hierarchy of criteria. One criterion is the short text - setting the characteristic meaning of criterion such as "Fuel consumption per 100 kilometers" in comparing cars. Another example: "Security Policy of information" - when evaluating computer systems. The criteria in the hierarchy may have under the criteria or are leaves and have no sub.
The sub criteria in one node are ranked in order of importance by experts. One expert rank sub criteria in a node with numbers: 1, 2, 3. If the number of sub-criteria is three. As 1 is set for the most important. 2 for the next most important, etc. After entering thus the opinions of experts application has a function to calculate the weights of the criteria. For the calculation used scale Thurston's (Thurstone scale - American psychologist Thurstone, Louis Leon-1887-1955) - The Measurement of Attitude (1929). On this scale the sum of the weights directly subordinate to a node is 1.
Next step is to introduce quantities of leaves pattern for each of the evaluated objects. These quantities of an object weighted and summed for individual nodes as calculated from the lowest levels to the top in the hierarchy of the model. Before weighing quantities of one characteristic (only for features leaves in the hierarchy of criteria) for individual objects are normalized in order on whether the characterization is set normalization in maximum or minimum. Characteristics example of the type of mentioned before - "Fuel consumption per 100 kilometers" is performed normalizing by minimum.
The application works with data stored in a database (DB) type SQLite. Upon initial installation of the application is available execution (or from menu of startup activity) function initiation DB.
The application may create and store only one assessment model for evaluation of objects. After storaging a model erases everything from the old one. The application ApplAssessObjects can create and store multiple valuation models of objects.
