In most cases, you do not have to buy a text expansion app for Android because the default Android keyboard, such as Gboard, already supports a feature called Personal Dictionary.

Note that this app works for plain text editors only. It does not work for rich text editor apps such as Gmail, GDocs, Evernote, etc.

3. Minimal Permissions: Rest assured, our app prioritizes user privacy and security. It does not require internet permissions or any other permissions, apart from the Accessibility permission.

4. Minimal Data Storage: Additionally, it only retains the user's defined shortcut-expansion pairs (which can be deleted by the user at any time) and the preference settings (which can be modified by the user at any time), ensuring minimal data storage.

Specific features of this app:

1. Backup and Transfer: You can backup your shortcut-expansion pairs and transfer them to another device by using the export-to-clipboard feature

(go to the shortcuts page from this app → export to clipboard → paste to a text editor → save)

2. Batch Editing and Importing: You can batch-edit your shortcut-expansion pairs in a text editor and then batch-input into this app by using the import-from-clipboard feature

(open the text file that contains all the shortcut-expansion pairs → select all → copy → go to the shortcut page of this app → import from clipboard)

3. Desktop Editing: create or edit your shortcut-expansion pairs on a desktop computer, before importing them into your Android phone.

4. Sync with Desktop app: If you have basic programming knowledge of AutoHotkey, it is possible to transform the shortcut-expansion file to a format that is usable for AutoHotkey

5. On-the-fly Shortcut Creation: The app allows you to define shortcuts on the fly, WITHOUT ever leaving the text editor you are using. For example, by just typing

.ahk.ap.apple

and then press the space key, the shortcut

ap → apple

will be added to your shortcut list in the background. In other words, you will be able to use it immediately.
