The downside of these couches is the fact that this type of leather can easily stick your skin. If you are sitting here for a period of time and are wearing shorts you can expect your legs will stick to the leather; so you trade some level of comfort for the look and shine.

To recap, if you have a choice between that shiny stiff leather that sticks to your body when you sit and the soft leather, choose the latter for comfort and the former for style.
