In this post, I am going to show you how to install iHEAL on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...
Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install iHEAL using BlueStacks
- Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
- Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
- Once installed, click "iHEAL" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

iHEAL:
- Is protected with a secure, private username and password known only to users of the app
- Contains assessments, activities, topics, and links to resources and services in all provinces/territories to help women improve their safety, health, and well-being
- Offers six areas to explore: Safety, Basic Needs, Health and Well-Being, Connecting Safely, Claiming Your Power, and Family. Begin anywhere and explore what interests you.
- Allows users to 'Save' activities, topics, and resources to make them easier to find.
Safe Use:
- Use of iHEAL is completely anonymous. Your login is password protected to keep your information safe.
- When logged in, use the 'Exit' button to quickly replace the app with a neutral webpage that will open in your device's default browser.
- Enter '1234' in the password field on the login screen to quickly navigate away from the app. This functions the same way as the "Exit" button.
- Be aware that your abusive partner may monitor your use of this app using spyware, cloud access or by accessing your phone, tablet or computer.
- When using the app, please use a safe device that you alone can access and that is password protected. You may also decide not to use the app.
- iHEAL does not replace crisis or emergency services. If you need urgent assistance, call 911 or contact local crisis services. We do not monitor or act on responses entered into the app by users.
The iHEAL app was developed, with support from the Public Health Agency of Canada, by researchers from Western University, University of British Columbia and the University of New Brunswick.

L’application iHEAL :
- est protégée par un nom d’utilisateur et un mot de passe sécurisés et privés, connus uniquement de l’utilisateur de l’application.
- contient des évaluations, des activités, des sujets et des liens vers des ressources et des services dans toutes les provinces et tous les territoires pour aider les femmes à améliorer leur sécurité, leur santé et leur bien-être.
- propose d’explorer six domaines : Sécurité, Besoins élémentaires, Santé et bien-être, Réseaux de sécurité, Conquête de votre pouvoir et Famille. Commencez n’importe où et explorez ce qui vous intéresse.
Utilisation sécurisée :
- L’utilisation d’iHEAL est complètement confidentiel. Votre connexion est protégée par un mot de passe afin d’assurer la sécurité de vos renseignements.
- Une fois connecté, utilisez le bouton “Quitter” pour remplacer rapidement l’application par une page web neutre qui s’ouvrira dans le navigateur par défaut de votre appareil.
- Pour quitter rapidement l’application, saisissez “1234” dans le champ du mot de passe sur l’écran de connexion. Ce bouton fonctionne de la même manière que le bouton “Quitter”.
- Sachez que votre partenaire violent peut surveiller votre utilisation de l’application en ayant recours à un logiciel espion, en étant connecté au nuage ou en ayant accès à votre téléphone, tablette ou ordinateur.
- Lorsque vous utilisez l’application, utilisez un appareil sûr auquel vous seule pouvez accéder et qui est protégé par un mot de passe.
- iHEAL ne remplace pas les services de crise ou d’urgence. Si vous avez besoin d’une aide urgente, appelez le 911 ou contactez les services d’urgence locaux. Nous ne surveillons pas les réponses que les utilisateurs entrent dans l’application et n’agissons pas en conséquence.
