In this post, I am going to show you how to install A Simple Notepad. on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install A Simple Notepad. using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "A Simple Notepad." icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

This notepad provides you with a basic text editor for your mobile device. This application is NOT a full blown word processor, and does NOT offer cloud storage or integration with social network sites. What it will give you is a simple, low resource notepad, with no advertisements and a minimum of fuss.

ASN asks for two permissions:

.1. Storage: Modify and delete SD contents. ASN writes to your SD card, and requires this access to save your notes.

.2. Network Communications: Full Internet Access. Surprisingly the Android operating system requires this permission if you use an HTML view in your application. The instructions and homepage links are in HTML, so this is why the permission is asked for. The application also launch a browser to the ASN homepage. This was added at the end of Version 2 as the permission was already requested.

NOTICE: Due to a change in company name (from SimpleSoftware to WebbySoftware), the next update of ASNotepad would have required users to uninstall the application. Instead of disrupting the current user base, the decision was made to create an upgraded application called jotter. There is no change in policy for ASimpleNotepad. It will continue to be supported in the same manner, but updates will be for fixes only. The new jotter application can be downloaded from the following link, for those of you who wish to upgrade. There are no permission changes between the applications.
