In this post, I am going to show you how to install ABT mStocktake for Pronto Xi on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install ABT mStocktake for Pronto Xi using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. With the ABT Mobile Stocktake application you can download a Pronto stocktake to your Android device and then count your inventory without being connected to your Pronto host server. Once you have completed and reconciled your stocktake you can then upload the counts into your Pronto-Xi system for reporting and updating.

Using ABT mStocktake for Pronto-Xi will decrease the time taken to count your stock and eliminate transcription errors as you no longer need to print out stocktake sheets and manually key in the count data.

Key features of the ABT mStocktake for Pronto Xi application include:
• Scan item barcodes and have the app add to the existing count or manually enter the count quantities
• Supports serial and lot tracked counts along with use by dates for lot tracked items
• Configurable for blind counting or to allow users to see the frozen count quantities
• Support multiple barcodes / GTINS and conversion factors for different pack quantities
• Configurable to enforce confirmation of variances
• Configurable to allow users to see variances on the Android app
• Take photos of damaged stock and upload them to validate stock write offs
• Take photos of inventory and upload to use in Pronto inventory enquiries
• View photos of inventory images stored on the Pronto server (requires online connectivity for this feature)
• Add notes to count records
• Add items that are not in the original frozen counts that are found during the count process
• Reset counts and perform recounts at an item or location level
NOTE: You must be running Pronto Xi as your back-end ERP system and be licensed for the ABT mStocktake module in order to use this application.
Connection to Pronto is via web services over WiFi or GSM.
