MapGO Solo is used to create an optimized route plan serving individual orders for a given day, taking into account the order of orders, based on VRP (Vehicle Routing Problem) optimization algorithms.
MapGO Solo solves the problem of the so-called last mile, i.e. it answers the question: how to handle as many orders as possible at the lowest possible cost.
FOR WHOM?
MapGO Solo is a convenient application for anyone who visits several clients, several places in one day. The beta version of the application is limited to 20 orders/day. It can therefore facilitate the work of: a service technician/installer, a sales representative, a medical representative, a mobile worker, a supplier, a driver, a pharmacy courier, a catering supplier, a tourist guide, etc. In subsequent versions of the product, the number of orders/day will be increased. Then the application will be conveniently used by anyone who visits more than 20 places in one day, e.g. a courier.
JOB
An order is a customer/place/point on the route that the User plans to visit. The order contains a specific address in Poland. Additionally, when creating an Order, the User may:
• give it a name,
• add its description,
• add a note to it,
• provide the date when it should be completed,
• select the Order type from the 3 available ones: Visit, Pickup, Delivery
• add a time window, i.e. an hourly range in which the Order should be completed,
• assign a Tag to the order (for now, choose between ready-made tags with numbering).
• set a priority.
Depending on the selected date, the order will be included in the daily schedule corresponding to a given date. If the User does not specify a date when creating the order, it will be added to the Order Database without a date.
DAY SCHEDULE
If we assign a specific date to our Order, it becomes part of the Plan for that day. You can add additional orders to the Daily Plan (maximum 20 in the beta version of the application) or start its execution. The beta version of the application allows you to simultaneously create up to 6 plans for different days. When the implementation of a given plan is completed, it disappears from the list.
ORDER DATABASE
The order database is a set of all planned orders without a date. A user in the beta version of the application can add a maximum of 50 orders to the database. From the Order Database, the User can simultaneously select several (up to 20) orders and schedule them for a specific day.
TIME WINDOWS
Daily plans created by the User of the MapGO Solo application take into account the availability hours of the Customers visited, i.e. the so-called time windows. Each of the orders (which are also points on the route) can have one time window defined.
GPS NAVIGATION
Navigation along the routes designated in the MapGO Solo application is done using Google Maps navigation (to which the user is transferred after clicking the Navigate option).
ORDER STATUS
The User can assign a status to each order independently. Currently, the application supports 2 statuses: Completed and Rejected.
MAP DATA
A component of the MapGO Solo application is the Emapy map of Poland, used to optimize routes and display the current position of the vehicle and route for a given day. This map is not used to navigate to waypoints.
The producer of the MapGO Solo application and the supplier of the map of Poland is the Polish company Emapa S.A. (emapa.pl). Map data is constantly updated based on information collected in the field, data obtained from GDDKiA, aerial and satellite photos and reports from users of Emapa solutions. The map is updated quarterly.
