In this post, I am going to show you how to install A HELPinHand on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install A HELPinHand using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "A HELPinHand" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

The HELPinHand is a one-stop solution which utilises avatar technology and easy-to-read translated materials in 5 chosen world languages including English (Arabic, Chinese Simplified, Polish and Romanian) to help users report hate incidents to the Police in Northern Ireland.

Users have the ability to document an incident using photos, videos, voice recordings and written memos. These items are stored on the users smartphone and can be retrieved at any time should they wish to formally report an incident.

The app provides critical information around reporting hate crime and incidents, signposting for support, all in a person-centred compassionate format for the victims of racist hate crime/incidents in Northern Ireland.

The app not only serves as a quick info guide for victims but also as an educational resource for ME communities at large.

HELPinHAND benefits victims and their communities by bringing together information currently shared over many sources in one digital solution which will bring support, hope and clarity to its users. Successful user/stakeholder engagement will build confidence and deliver for all.

Users are shown how the Criminal Justice system works, and this allows misconceptions to be addressed. With this awareness victims’ expectations will more realistic and this in turn will lead to lower disappointment’ or distrust of Police and other government agencies.
