In this post, I am going to show you how to install Trashfarmer on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Play Trashfarmer using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Trashfarmer" icon on the home screen to start playing, it'll work like a charm :D

At Trashfarmer, the world has begun to fill with rubbish, and it is already reminiscent of even the worst fantasies about a dystopian environment. Only you still have the opportunity to influence how the future goes.

In this gloomy world you have been left to take care of a farm where, in addition to you, you will also be inhabited by animals that have encountered some kind of mutation. Those animals are your only help in saving the world! You manage your farm by cleaning up various debris and hazardous waste from your farm environment, and feeding the debris to your mutant animals that love them. As the game progresses, you will face various challenges and you will also be able to expand your own environment. You get a variety of garbage that you have to think about who you feed it to. The more rubbish you get disposed of through the farm animals, the better the world starts to change!

Trashfarmer is the result of a game project for students of computer science at Tampere University of Applied Sciences. The game has been commissioned for the RUOKO project, which aims to raise household awareness, especially about the recycling of take-away containers.
