The town hall of Saint Alban-Leysse is equipped with a digital application with a historical vocation referencing points of municipal heritage interest.

The objective is to digitize to promote the small local historical heritage and disseminate the knowledge relating to it to as many people as possible. This media contributes to the development of local tourism.

This application is an extension of the reference work “Saint Alban-Leysse Autreviens” (published in 2001, republished in 2012) by the Bien Vivre association in Saint Alban.

It is presented in the form of an interactive map containing audio comments from Christiane SALOMON and Michel DYEN. The textual and photographic presentation of the sites largely refers to the above-mentioned work “Saint Alban-Leysse Autreviens”.

Christiane Salomon, co-author of the reference work “Saint Alban-Leysse Autreviens” and Michel Dyen, the current mayor, lend their voices to the application and tell their knowledge and anecdotes about these different sites.

This media is also a way of paying tribute to Christiane Salomon who died in May 2022. The latter resided in Saint Alban-Leysse since July 1, 1978 and worked as a school teacher for 35 years. She was passionate about the history and past of her town. Michel Dyen, native of Saint Alban-Leysse, lived his entire childhood and youth in Leysse. Between them, they offer an immersion in the Saint Alban-Leysse of yesteryear, bringing back memories of yesteryear.

This application was designed by the municipality with the technical support of the Albanian saint Emeric Grange, specialized developer, the support of Catherine Grangeat, daughter of Christiane Salomon and the Bien Vivre association in Saint Alban-Leysse which contributed to the development of the work “Saint Alban-Leysse Formerly”.
