"GuruGuru ZEISS Type IV" is an app that allows you to experience the large dome optical planetarium "ZEISS Type IV (4)" manufactured by Carl Zeiss of Germany in the palm of your hand.

----------------------

optical planetarium ZEISS Mark IV

This is an optical planetarium "Zeiss IV (4)" manufactured by Carl Zeiss, a former West German company. It was active for about 48 years from November 1962, when the Nagoya City Science Museum (currently Nagoya City Science Museum) opened, to August 2010, and is currently preserved in a dynamic state in the exhibition room of the Nagoya City Science Museum.

The large spheres at each end of the iron gable are star projectors, which project stars in the northern and southern skies, respectively. The cage-shaped part in between is called the planetary shelf, and it houses the planet, sun, and moon projectors. Projectors for planets, etc. had a mechanism that changed their direction using gears, links, etc., and mechanically reproduced daily changes in position. In addition, by rotating the entire projector, we were able to reproduce the diurnal movement and precession of the starry sky, as well as the appearance of starry skies at different latitudes.
