The first Magic Squares were known to Chinese mathematicians in 190 BCE. They have appeared in texts in India and Arabia across the centuries and from the English Renaissance in the UK.

They make fun mathematical puzzles and this App includes 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5 squares - these are progressively more difficult to solve!!! All three magic squares allow you to see a solution if you get stuck and you can generate a new puzzle whenever you wish if you would like a new challenge.

The App also includes a "Fifteen Puzzle" where you have a 4 x 4 grid and 15 numbers. You move numbers about by manipulating a blank square until you can get all the numbers in numerical order.

If you enjoy numerical puzzles you will enjoy this app - it also makes a great gift for a child who might enjoy playing with numbers.

No adverts and no nagware - just good mathematical fun for all.
