This app will show you how much discounted gas you can use in each month. If the opening hours and the day of dictation are specified, it also calculates which hour corresponds to the maximum official price quantity that can be used on the day of the dictation in the current month. It helps you consciously plan your gas consumption so that you don't get unpleasant surprises when you receive your gas bill.

Residential gas consumption has been accounted for in Hungary for the second year already on the basis of a very complicated system. Every household can use a certain annual quantity (1729 m3) at an "authority"/concessional price, the consumption above this is paid by the service provider (MVM Next Energiakereskedelmi Zrt.). calculates it at a "competitive market" price. The difference between the two tariffs is very large: the competitive market price is more than seven times the official price.

The situation is complicated by the fact that the service provider uses the so-called divides it into monthly quantities based on a characteristic curve. If a consumer exceeds the discount limit established for a given month, he can count on having to reach deep into his pocket, because the service provider charges the excess consumption at the competitive market price, even if the consumer has not exhausted the annual discount limit.

ATTENTION!
This application performs the calculations based on the characteristic curve information published on the service provider's website. The mentioned information also notes that depending on the weather, the characteristic curve is different every year, i.e. no one except the service provider knows exactly what the discounted monthly quantities are in a given year. As a result, the values calculated by the application are not completely accurate, please take this into account when using the application.
