In this post, I am going to show you how to install Via Smart on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Via Smart using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Via Smart" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

Via Smart is a long distance travel taxi booking app that allows passengers to book a ride from Johannesburg to any serviced destination in South Africa. Via Smart has partnered with Santaco and a number of its associations in the greater Johannesburg region to provide this service to it's long distance travelling commuters.

It works just like how you book a bus or a plane but now with a little twist, it is for a taxi. Passengers who booked a taxi on Via Smart are transported by a dedicated roadworthy taxi that meets all the department of transport and the department of health safety standards, not only that but they also driven by a professionally trained driver. T**** departure at selected taxi ranks.

With the current Covid-19 pandemic, the movement of cash in the t**** has been a huge concern in spreading the virus, therefore as an intervention measure, Via Smart passengers can pay their taxi fares online using their bank card or a OTT voucher that can be purchased in over 5000 stores nationwide, stores such as Makro, Boxer, Cambridge and many more. Via Smart t**** are available 7 days week and are scheduled 4 times a day with current just routes from Johannesburg to KZN as a pilot run. The target is to rollout the service through out the country by the end of 2022.
