eLearning Birds South Africa' is designed specifically to teach and test a person's ability to identify birds in the field, focusing only on sight and sounds of birds.

This Application is designed specifically for Field Guide students and is a Study Aid and not a typical bird app.

eLearning Birds covers the whole of South Africa and its 9 Biomes regions, including 660 bird species with more than 5000 pictures and 600 bird calls.
By working through various bird lists and slides, the user is taught the calls and appearance of the birds in a very simple and easy process.
In traditional bird apps, birds are typically presented in the order of name, picture, and call. This application introduces birds in a different order: first the bird's call, then its picture, and lastly its name.

This change in the 'Order of Introduction' may seem trivial, but it has a significant impact on the user's ability to remember and recognize bird calls.
It's important to note that this is not a traditional bird app; there are many amazing bird apps providing copious amounts of information regarding birds. This app focuses on teaching the user to identify birds via sight or sounds.
