Description:
The Incident Manager 9 App is designed in various stages:
1. A welcome page
2. A page suggesting ways of controlling the initial scene of an incident / accident
3. A page to record the different types of vehicles involved
4. A page to record the different types of persons involved
5. A page dealing with the initial triage of persons (looking for the escape of blood)
6. 4 pages dealing with the personal details of up to 4 casualties
7. A summary page showing what you have recorded, and this page could be shown to the emergency personnel
8. A page allowing you to email this information to relevant emergency personnel
9. A page allowing you to text this information to relevant emergency personnel
10. A final page which allows you to erase all the information that you have recorded which then enables a button allowing you to exit the application.
The 4 pages allowing you to record details of the casualties is based on the SAMPLE acrostic
Signs and symptoms
Allergies
Medication
Past medical history
Last eat or drink
Events leading up to the incident.
The chances of you being the person arriving first at the scene of an accident is not as unusual as you might think.
I have designed this App because it is fairly unlikely that you will have a pen and paper handy to jot down the information, but much more likely to have a phone handy,.
In designing the app I wanted to design it so that it is easy to use without a maze of routes to follow, therefore I designed it to have a simple and basic user interface.
There are buttons at the bottom of each page to save the information on the phone whilst waiting for the emergency services to arrive. In order to check that you have the correct information there is also a check button at the bottom of each page of input material.
Should you be able to share the information with the emergency services there is a page where you can send the information by email or text. You must not share it with anyone else.
Obviously you are dealing with personal information so this information should in no circumstances be shared with anyone other than emergency services and this information should be removed from your phone before you depart the scene. This is easily accomplished on the final page of the App. The button to close the App is not enabled until you have deleted the files. Uninstalling the App will also automatically remove any saved files.
I sincerely hope that you do not have to use this app but by downloading it for free you can rest assured that, if you are unfortunate to be first on the scene, you have a guide on what to do next.
The App is totally free to download, there are no annoying adverts, no trial editions.
