Objective:
The goal of Omi is to be the first player to reach a predetermined number of points (usually 500) by winning tricks and collecting valuable cards.

Number of Players:
2-6 players

Deck:
A standard 52-card deck is used. Jokers are not included.

Card Rankings:

From highest to lowest: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2

Setup:

Dealer: Choose a dealer randomly for the first round. The dealer rotates clockwise after each round.

Dealing: The dealer shuffles the deck and deals 7 cards to each player, one at a time. The remaining cards form the draw pile.

Gameplay:

First Trick:

The player to the left of the dealer leads the first trick by playing any card from their hand.

Subsequent players must follow suit if possible. If they cannot follow suit, they may play any card.

The highest card of the leading suit wins the trick. The winner of the trick leads the next trick.

Subsequent Tricks:

The winner of the previous trick leads the next trick.

Players must follow suit if they can. If they cannot, they may play any card.

The highest card of the leading suit wins the trick.

Drawing Cards:

After each trick, players draw one card from the draw pile to replenish their hand to 7 cards.

The draw pile is replenished after each trick until it is exhausted.

Scoring:

Tricks: Each trick won is worth 10 points.

Aces: Each Ace won in a trick is worth an additional 25 points.

Bonus: If a player wins all 7 tricks in a round, they score an additional 100 points.

End of Round:

The round ends when all cards have been played and no more tricks can be won.

Players tally their points based on the tricks and Aces they have won.

The game continues with new rounds until one player reaches or exceeds the predetermined number of points (usually 500).

The first player to reach or exceed the target score wins the game.

Special Rules:

Leading with an Ace: If a player leads with an Ace, the next player must play a higher card if they have one. If they cannot, they may play any card.

No Trump Suit: There is no trump suit in Omi. Only the leading suit matters for winning the trick.

Optional Variations:

Double Points: Players can agree to double the points for Aces or tricks to make the game more competitive.

Penalty for Losing Tricks: Players can agree to deduct points for losing tricks, adding an extra layer of strategy.

Example of Play:

Player A leads with the Ace of Hearts.

Player B must play a higher Heart if they have one. They play the King of Hearts.

Player C cannot follow suit and plays the 2 of Diamonds.

Player D follows suit with the Queen of Hearts.
