Tihi Heroj is an innovative application intended for the prevention of peer violence in the territory of the City of Vranje, developed within the project "Let's Program Your Chance", which was supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Youth and the City of Vranje. This application allows young people to be informed about the prevention of peer violence and offers the option of reporting violence anonymously, providing a safe and discreet way to respond.
The special feature of this application lies in the fact that it was designed and developed by young project participants with professional mentoring support. The name of the application was chosen through a survey on Instagram, which further strengthened the contribution of young people in its creation.
Silent Hero will be available in Serbian, Albanian and Romani languages, thus ensuring inclusiveness and accessibility to all users.
From 2021, the City of Vranje and the Office for Youth are actively working on the prevention of peer violence through various initiatives and projects. As part of these efforts, in 2023, the Local Network for the Prevention and Fight against Peer Violence was formed, in cooperation with relevant institutions and actors, and in 2024, the Action Plan for the Prevention of Peer Violence for the period 2024-2026 was drawn up. year.
The Silent Hero application symbolizes the joint effort of young people and institutions in the fight against peer violence and represents a step forward towards a society without violence.
