Maths Pyramid provides repeated practice in the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers in a fun environment. For each of the four operations Maths Pyramid provides twenty levels that slowly increase in difficulty. To complete a level a player must build a pyramid by correctly answer ten questions in a row. The simple uncluttered screen gives four possible answers and the player must choose the right one.

The game designer is a maths tutor who was concerned that sixteen-year-old CGSE students often had a poor grasp of the fundamental arithmetic skills, making it much harder to learn more advanced concepts. Maths Pyramid was designed to help develop these skills in a way that is more interesting and fun than learning times tables by rote.

A time limit can be set at ten, twenty or thirty seconds per question providing a challenge for players of different ages and abilities. Alternatively, Maths Pyramid can be played with no time limit enabling players to use paper and pen on some of the more advanced levels.

The basic version of Maths Pyramid can be downloaded for free and provides practice in addition. A single in-app purchase of £0.99 (or the equivalent amount in your local currency) provides additional practice in subtraction, multiplication and division.
