Your fuel dwindling, you turn towards the shining beacon of hope you assume is either more gas or a neatly contained supernova. Whew, it’s gas. Soon, the forest starts flying past you, your vehicle twisting left and right in a hapless attempt to delay the inevitable. The music starts picking up from its methodical opening, and you’re awash in a sea of flashing lights, the darkened deciduous trees becoming merely a blur. Fuel becomes ancillary, with an abundant supply spread across the once undisturbed forest. Like the best arcade games, Turbo Cristo puts you into a trance as you keep progressing. Then you smack into a trunk. Game over.
