More accurately calculate and raises the blood sugar level by eating certain foods form.

In this application we have made taking into account only the amount of food we eat index.

Glycemic index of a food is a number that compares what raises the blood glucose food for glucose.

Glucose is taken as reference and given the glycemic index value 100.
The amount of glucose which is taken as reference is 50 grams.

Glucose is especially carbohydrate. No protein, no fat or fiber, therefore 100% is HC (carbohydrate).

To compare the different food with glucose, keep in mind that in general foods have carbohydrates, protein, fat, fiber, water ...

So what is done is to compare the following:

An amount of food we want tested for their IG containing 50 grams of carbohydrate is taken. With this we get to compare 50 g carbohydrate with 50 g of glucose.

This is a problem. IG with the data we can not know directly what we will raise blood glucose by taking an amount of a particular food. This is because the amount of carbohydrates of a food varies greatly from one to another. 100 g of a food may contain a few grams of HC or many, so that only the data of the amount of food we can not get an idea of whether we will go up much or little blood glucose. The IG is what gives us an idea of what goes we glucose as carbohydrate is in a food, but not the details of what proportion of HC in the food does not help us much.

Example:
chicory (GI = 40) contained 100g of HC = 2.8 (2.8% HC)
oats (GI = 40) contained 100g of HC = 66,3g (66.3% HC)

They have the same glycemic index (40) but if you eat 100g of each:

Chicory would eat 2.8 g of HC
We would eat oat 66.3 g of HC

When we want to know what is going to raise blood glucose food, we have to consider how much we eat. In this application we have fixed the problem of the amount of HC that each food and we have made taking into account only the amount of food we eat index.
