In this post, I am going to show you how to install Apps in Math on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Play Apps in Math using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Apps in Math" icon on the home screen to start playing, it'll work like a charm :D

Learn or teach mathematics using 25 games for different grades.

All games contained in Apps in Math application are designed to motivate pupils to learn mathematics and improve their mathematical knowledge and also attitudes towards mathematics. Almost all games have several levels of escalating difficulty. Pupils receive automatic feedback, which helps them to learn. In some of the games there is also learn level, in which basic concepts and relations are explained, so pupil doesn’t need to know much of the theme before playing the game. The games are divided into 5 categories and focusing on various mathematical topics:

Numbers – Roman numbers; Divisibility of numbers; Fractions; Addition and subtraction of whole numbers

Functions – Linear function; Trigonometric functions; Arithmetic and Geometric sequences; Expressions; Quadratic function; Logarithms

Geometry – Point symmetry; Coordinate system; Triangle similarity; Plan of cube construction; Top, front and side view of cube construction; Angles

Chance – Combinatorics; Statistics; Probability

Logics – Propaedeutic of Diophantine equations; Truth values of statements; Strategic thinking

These games were implemented and tested within the Slovak-Norwegian project Apps in Math (www.project-aim.eu), which was co-funded by the EEA Grants and the state budget of the Slovak Republic from the EEA Scholarship Program Slovakia. University students and teachers from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia and from Norwegian University of Science and technology in Trondheim, Norway have cooperated and have designed and created all these games.
