This is an essential app for learning all the musical terms you will need (Italian, French and German), for the Music Theory exams of any of the major schools of music, such as ABRSM or Trinity

There is a quiz for each level including all the new terms not learned at the previous level. For this reason, we recommend you start at level 1 even if you are taking, for example grade 5.

Each quiz takes a random selection of words from the complete list for that level, and so each quiz is unique. The interface is simple and easy to use and you get a score at the end with the option to try again (with a new set of unique random questions). Again we recommend you do each level a few times before going on to the next, because each quiz only covers a selection of the whole list.

Next to each level is an approximate grade to which it relates, but this slightly varies between different examining bodies. For example "adagio" is grade 1 ABRSM, but grade 2 Trinity, whereas "up bows and down bows" are covered earlier in Trinity and learning French and German musical terms is exclusive to ABRSM up to Grade 5. In general there is a VAST amount of overlap between the music schools but to help you, we have included all our terms at the lowest grade needed for any of the examining bodies, so if you study the appropriate level for the grade you are taking with ANY examining body, you can't go wrong.

If you wish to know whether a particular term or sign is relevant to your syllabus please leave us a comment and we WILL assist. Thanks for your understanding.

Good Luck and enjoy!!
