- Each player is dealt a hand of cards (typically 7 or 8).
- The remaining cards form the draw pile, and one card is flipped face-up to start the discard pile.
- Players take turns matching the top card on the discard pile by either rank or suit.
- If a player cannot play a card, they must draw one card from the draw pile.
Eights are wild! Play an Eight and choose the suit for the next player.
