A simple, work in progress, one man dev team game.
Single Player, 100% offline gameplay.
Viking Tycoon is a UI/World Map based game with no fancy graphics.
Like other Tycoon games, the goal is to become tremendously rich and powerful.

Build cities to generate several different types of Resources, Weapons and Armor.
Build Viking houses and keep your people fed to grow your population.
Train fresh warriors to be either Bowmen, Spearmen, Swordsmen or Axemen.
Equip your warriors with various qualities of weapons and armor.
Your Viking kingdom continues to grow even when the App is closed or the device is off.

Send your Viking warriors out to attack neighboring cities to pillage loot or to take the settlement as your own.
Or, gather a grand heathen army and build dozens of ships to lay siege to the far away city of Rome or Constantinople. All cities can be taken as your own.

Colonize far away places such as Iceland, Greenland, or even Vinland (America) to increase the population and resources at your disposal.

Setup Trade networks around the world to trade resources you don't need for what you do need.

City Development and resource production:
Each city can support 16 Production buildings and 16 Civil buildings.

Production - Building a Woodcutter's Shack for example generates a steady stream of Timber. Not all regions can produce all Resources. Gems can only be mined in regions that have Gems for example, making the need to colonize other regions even greater.

Civil - Building houses increases a cities max population. Cities grow in population automatically as long as your people have a steady Food and Ale supply.
Your settlements continue to grow (or shrink if people are starving) and generate goods when the App is closed for up to 1 hour.

Raiding settlements:
All cities have a "Combat Power" stat to display how hard they are to defeat.
When your Kingdom's "Combat Power" is higher than the city you're attacking you'll usually win.
Some troop types are more effective against others however, causing true combat power against a specific opponent
Archers are good vs Spearmen and bad vs Sword and Shields for example.
These bonuses could swing the battle.

Achievements:
A few Achievements are complete for you to unlock.

Future updates:
I'd like to add a Research system, allowing for new items, faster timers and tactics to be unlocked.
The ability to open an enemy city's gate before attacking is one example of possible researchable abilities.
City Icons improved a bit.
City Relationship Icon and City Name combined into a colored name.
Several bugs fixed.
Enemy city stats on the mainland lowered to make starting easier.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
