The ASH Q&A Bank is a resource for trainees and practicing hematologists, both as a good source for topic review and to prepare for specialty board certification.

The app provides case-based multiple-choice questions for hematologists preparing for professional certification or recertification exams, especially the ABIM hematology examinations. The questions in the ASH Q&A Bank were written by leading hematology educators and are designed to reinforce knowledge of basic and advanced hematology conditions and treatments. Each question underwent a three-step review by content experts, editors, and an independent medical writer with expertise in the construction of case-based vignettes.

There are hundreds of questions in the app with new questions added annually. Questions are classified as either Classic or Malignant Hematology. Due to the nature of some disease states, some questions will appear in both classifications.

Questions are organized into sessions that can be paused and resumed without losing test progress. Tests are further categorized into either Test or Review Mode. In test mode, the session is timed. The amount of time available is a function of the number of questions in the test. Answers are not provided until the test is completed. In Review mode, the answers and explanations are presented as soon as you answer a question. Both modes are excellent for learning and testing your knowledge.
