Step By Step Guide To Install Wooden Easter Ratchet using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. Ratcheting is a well-known tradition since 1482. It creates lots of noise by turning a wooden ratchet – the faster, the better! 3D model and sound were captured from an original wooden easter ratchet originally built by my uncle. Our digital ratchet behaves just as a real one, but it‘s easier to take with you everywhere you go.

Now with transparency mode (background is a camera preview). Tap screen once for autofocus. Please send us a short email message if it does not work correctly for you.

DISCLAIMER: We cannot be held responsible for flying mobile phones. If you fear for your mobile phone, use the Touch-Mode to control the ratchet via Touchscreen.

KNOWN BUGS: Some Android 2.1 phones have the camera preview rotated 90°. We can send you a version in landscape mode by email (i.e. menu will be rotated 90°, everything else will be all right). If you have Android 2.2+ camera preview can be rotated via menu entry. Unfortunately Android 2.1 does not yet have this API function.
