In this post, I am going to show you how to install Top 40 Pop Radio on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Top 40 Pop Radio using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. The Top 40 or Mainstream Top 40 (referred to as Pop Songs on billboard.com) is a collection of music played weekly and created by Billboard magazine. This weekly airplay chart has 40 positions available for the hottest songs of the week.

The weekly rankings of the best pop songs are determined purely by radio airplay detections and analyzed by radio, tv, and internet-tracking service Nielsen BDS or Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems. The Top 40 format is sometimes referred to as contemporary hit radio by consumer research company Arbitron (renamed Nielsen Audio by December 2012).

The Top 40 started with Billboard magazine’s October 3, 1992 issue with its inauguration of two Top 40 airplay charts (Rhythm-Crossover and Mainstream) which calculated β€œactual monitored airplay” from Nielsen BDS’s data compilation. The Top 40/Rhythm-Crossover chart focused on airplay by radio stations of R&B and dance music, while the The Top 40/Mainstream chart compiled airplay of a broader range of music. The BDS electronic monitoring technology was chosen since it was perceived to be precise and more objective in making measurements of radio station airplays. The same data was used in tabulating Hot 100 compilations.
