In this post, I am going to show you how to install Mobile Data Vault on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Mobile Data Vault using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Mobile Data Vault" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

Mobile Data Vault (mDataVault) is a simple but useful utility application that you may use to store all your frequently-accessed information on your mobile device for easy access anywhere anytime.

mDataVault allows you to create unlimited entries with up to ten custom fields for each item. You can access these items to read or modify later easily.

Your mDataVault account is login-based and secret-pin protected so that your data is not accessible to anyone else accessing your phone. All that is needed to get started is your working email address and a secret pin that you can choose.

Your data on your mobile device is not accessible to anyone else unless the mobile device stolen/lost and rooted. Moreover, the data is optionally backed-up on the device/card using encryption techniques, to prevent being accessed even in case of device theft.

mDataVault allows you to backup your local data on external storage for safekeeping. In case you lose local data or uninstall the app from your device, it is possible to restore the data if it has been backed up. Backing up of data to external storage is optional and manual.

mDataVault does not move your data out of your device (like remote servers, etc). Your data is stored on the device ONLY.

mDataVault sends you your secret pin by email to your registered email address upon request. This feature can be useful in case you forget your secret pin and are unable to log in to the app.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Please understand that though data encryption and encoding have been used to secure data on the mobile device, this may still not be secure enough for a skilled hacker. In case of the device being lost/stolen and rooted, there is a likelihood of a skilled hacker accessing your information. Hence it is recommended that you not store highly sensitive information. In case you would like to do so, we suggest you do so in an encoded format.

For example, if your password is 'Ge0rge@1990DC', you could store it as 'G.0...@....C' or in any other format such that you remember the actual password as soon as you see the encoded format.
