The Egmond Rescue has about 150 members. About 75 members are actively used during the monitoring task. The other members are youth members which are not yet used to the repressive task and older members who have had their working time to the rescue.

Join starts 11 years but the minimum age for active monitoring task 15 years. You do not necessarily from an early age to become a member if you are older, you can be sure lifeguard.

The biggest task is the monitoring task which is carried out in the summer months. Click here for more information on this supervisory task. But outside the surveillance and times outside the summer months, the ERB active in emergencies but also in various events.

The summer months of June, July and August, the beach post Egmond Rescue open from 9:00 to 18:00. During the regular opening hours ensure lifeguards ensure that the equipment is ready and visitors can be received. But not just oversee a task for the ERB, there are more aspects.

During the hours are at least two experienced lifeguards, weekends are supplemented it with less experienced lifeguards.

Prevention is the most important task. Sailing, rolling and / or a running various patrols be done in order to alert as beach visitors and swimmers / bathers for hazards which may be present. Course will be held from the beach with binoculars post supervision.

Outside these hours and during the winter months is an emergency team of approximately 25 members ready to be deployed when emergencies occur. These bets are often led by the ARC Noord-Holland (1-1-2-).

The Egmond Rescue is not only active in the summer months. Outside the summer are also many calamities. There are accidents such as bone fractures, horse accidents and ill individuals get on the beach and in the dunes.

Also at regional, state or national (water) events can be called on the Egmond Rescue. Reddingsbrigade Netherlands coordinates of these bets and has for this purpose a vessel stationed at the Egmond Reddingsbrigade. In the past been various inserts such as Tuindorp Oostzaan and the floods in Limburg in 1993 and 1995.
