BoxCalc , an easy to use mobile app for calculating cost of corrugated box with features like sending offer to the customers by E Mail or by WhatsApp , material requirement for the purpose of raising indent with the suppliers.

The App is designed either to input the size of the box or the size of the board required to make the box. The board size option will help calculate the cost in the case of non standard design or punched cartons . It will help the sales executive in the field to quote instantly.

Measurements can be entered in inches, centi meters, milli metres . The default values for flute height is 40%, production wastage is 5%. While calculating the board size from the input of box size , the reel trimming allowance (RSA) is taken as 1" and for the cutting size including a normal Flap of 1.5" (CSA) is taken as 2.5". When the flute format is changed from NORMAL to BROAD or E flute the default values can be changed by the user. After arriving at the board size , the user can either opt for suitable number of plies, and whether all layers are made of the same material or they differ from each other. The values like GSM, BF of the paper used for each layer along with either purchase rate or the selling rate of the Kraft paper can be entered. Entry of total quantity required will calculate the material required.

The user can add partitions and separators to the box calculations. Partitions will be of same GSM/BF/RATE . The top and bottom separators will have the size of Length X Breadth of the box in inches . The middle pad in length direction will have the size of Length X Height in inches. The middle pad in breadth direction will have the size of Length X Breadth in inches. These measurements are carried forward from the input values of L, B ,H of the box in inches irrespective of the fact that sizes might have been given in cm or mm at the time of input of Box Measurements. If board values are chosen in the entry page, then the user has to give L, B, H in inches to calculate partitions and separators.
