ChickSaw is a physics-based game. Your goal is to navigate a little yellow chick through numerous levels, which, in essence, are obstacle polygons. Only the obstacles are saws!
You score points by finishing each level: the faster you finish the level, the more points you score, but you can also collect extra scores throughout a level. You shouldn't let the chick touch any of the saws, because you know what happens when you introduce a little chick to sharp teeth of a chainsaw, don't you? ;)
If the chick comes into contact with a saw, your current score is reduced by a certain amount and the chick's position is reset to the start of the level you were currently on.
Your only means of helping the chick is creating linelike obstacles by touching the screen with your finger at any point you wish the obstacle to start and then dragging your finger across to any other point of the screen, where the obstacle ends. The chick is just carelessly flying around with constant speed and direction and if it hits an obstacle that you've created, it bounces off of it at an outgoing angle (angle of reflection) equal to the incoming angle (angle of incidence), maintaining the same speed.
Only one of these obstacles can be active on the screen at any given time; if you start creating a new obstacle while there is already one active, the active obstacle will disappear. In order to get the chick through a level, you need to sequentially create obstacles and let the chick bounce off of them in a safe direction and finally get to the end of the level. This is a fairly simple, yet challenging and addictive gameplay. To increase the challenge further, the chick's speed will gradually increase each time you complete a certain number of levels. There are various amounts of scores scattered through each level, you can try and collect as many as you can, but collecting some higher amounts will require even more precision and skill from you.
There is no limit to how long you can play this game, but your own skill and will. There is an unlimited number of times the chick can hit a saw - your score is the only thing that will suffer if that happens. But don't worry - your score can't go below zero. When you're done playing the game, you'll have the option to enter your score (only if it's not zero :P) to a global list of high scores so you can compare your score to all other players that have already entered their scores. From the game's main menu you can view top 100 scores from global high score list or view scores of any particular player in the list.
All in all, ChickSaw is game for everyone - children and adults, it's a great and fun way to exercise your skills in spatial coordination and estimation of angle at which the incoming object will bounce off a flat surface. Have fun playing and never let yourself get frustrated! :)
